A Stag Party

    A stag is a male deer. So a stag party is an all-man party. Usually it is a party especially held to honor a man who is about to marry.

    Look at the following conversation:

    Jessie: You didn’t go out? I thought you had gone to the theater with John.

    Lucy: Well, I had planned to. But John went to Tom’s place. You know, Tom is getting married tomorrow. So they are having a stag party tonight.
